Steady state
The point at which the amount of drug entering the body equals the amount leaving, so concentrations plateau.
In plain terms
Reached after roughly four to five half-lives of consistent dosing. Judging a drug’s effects or side effects before steady state is judging an incomplete picture — a common error with weekly agents, where steady state takes over a month.
