GHRP
Also known as: growth hormone releasing peptide · ghrps
Growth hormone-releasing peptides — ghrelin-mimetic compounds that trigger growth hormone release through a different receptor than GHRH.
In plain terms
GHRPs act at the ghrelin receptor, not the GHRH receptor. Because the two pathways are separate, a GHRH analog and a GHRP together produce a larger pulse than either alone — the entire rationale for pairing CJC-1295 with ipamorelin.
The older GHRPs also stimulate appetite and, to varying degrees, cortisol and prolactin. Ipamorelin is prized in this class largely for being selective enough to avoid that.
