The fraction of an administered dose that reaches systemic circulation intact.
In plain terms
An intravenous dose is 100% bioavailable by definition. Subcutaneous peptides are typically high but not complete; oral peptides are usually near zero without substantial formulation engineering, which is why oral semaglutide requires an absorption enhancer and a far larger dose.
