NDC
Also known as: national drug code
The National Drug Code — a unique identifier carried by every drug marketed in the United States.
In plain terms
An NDC identifies the labeller, the product, and the package size. If a product claims FDA approval, it has an NDC, and the code on the carton should match what Drugs@FDA lists.
