Amylin
Also known as: pramlintide · amylin analog
A hormone co-secreted with insulin that promotes satiety and slows gastric emptying; cagrilintide is a long-acting analog.
In plain terms
Amylin works on satiety through a partly different route than GLP-1, which is the argument for combining them — the pairing of cagrilintide with semaglutide is the most studied example.
